It does not solve that problem. If there were any solution on the planet for biofilm we would be using it. It takes multiple concurrent strategies and even if we do not solve biofilm, we “manage it”. We manage it’s impact on the host or on our patient. That is going to include our debridement and anti-biofilm agents. Debridement, we need to debri the wound and take the bulk of the biofilm out physically. And, we add anti-biofilm agents after that we suppress the biofilm. Think of it as, as soon as we remove that of the wound surface the bacteria is going to go into a growth mode. It’s going to try to reconstitute that surface.
